DIY Christmas Eve Box…

I know, I know its October but you can never be too prepared right?! Organisation is key. Well, it is when your due a baby a few weeks before the big C, everything needs to be ready or I will begin to freak out.

I love Christmas and I feel like having children really does put the magic back in it. I get so excited prepping all Mia’s bits. I enjoy making her advent calendar, filling her stocking and putting together her Christmas eve box.

I have made her Christmas eve box this week and it really is quite a simple one, yet I love it!

I  got all the bits for it from Hobbycraft in case you want to give this a try yourself.

I started off with a plain wooden box that opens by a little latch. I used an acrylic paint to cover the whole box in a light grey color.

Next I added a large bow using a wide ribbon purchased from hobbycraft. I glued this around so that it stays in place

I then applied a stick on personalised vinyl which I actually ordered from eBay. It is such good quality and it applied really well.

I finished it off by adding a little stamp in the bottom left corner which came with the vinyl, and a glitter angel above which came in a pack from Hobbycraft.

And there you have it! Very simple to do and I think this cost around £15- £16 to buy. This works out a lot cheaper to do and its done all by yourself! Makes it that even more special.
