What’s In My Hospital Bag?..

I thought I would share with you all what I have packed in mine and baby’s hospital bags. There are so many long lists online it can feel a bit daunting when it comes to packing your bags.

First time around I think I definitely packed a little bit too much. I guess everyone does, you’re going into an unknown situation with not a clue what is gonna happen. Anyway, it is better to be over prepared then under prepared.

Our hospital is not far from home so I will take all the necessities we need for a short stay I am hoping to have. If it so happens we end up being in the hospital any longer, Jack can always go back and grab some things.

For Mum:

I am using my Mulberry travel bag.

  • Maternity pads
  • Breast pads
  • Toiletries (body wash, toothbrush etc)
  • Makeup bag
  • Lip balm ( gas and air really dry your lips out!)
  • Tummy Butter
  • Nipple Balm
  • Nightshirt (button front)
  • Pyjamas
  • Cosy socks
  • Maternity bras
  • Maternity knickers
  • Outfit to go home
  • Towel
  • Flip Flops for the shower

For Baby:

  • Muslins x3
  • Hats x2
  • Cardigan x1
  • Pram Suit x1
  • Blanket x2
  • Sleepsuits x4
  • Vests x4
  • Nappies x10
  • Wipes (water wipes)
  • Comforter
  • Car seat

  • Pampers Pure nappies, Water Wipes, Aden & Anais Muslins.

We are also going to be taking a snack bag with us. This will just have some Lucozade sports in and a couple of snacks, mainly for Jack.

I hope this post helps you when it comes to packing your bags! I’ve tried to keep it to just what I need and not overdo it. As I said our house isn’t far so Jack can always pop home and grab some stuff.
