A transition into motherhood is just as exciting as a newborn baby. Babies are showered with so many gifts, and there are simple things a new mother would absolutely love that you may not think would be loved. If you have someone close to you that is due to have a baby soon, I hope this post helps you with some ideas.
In my world this present is ideal! It’s not even a present its more of an encouragement to a new mother to not go doing too much during recovery. The thought of having to think of dinner when you are home from the hospital, trying to adjust to new life is straight out hideous. We all hear of ‘filling up your freezer’ before the baby arrives, but even myself, I said I would do this and with just one week to go I don’t see it happening. Exchanging dinner for a cuddle is good etiquette right? 🙂
This may just be me but I love candles and smelly things. This is again more of an encouragement for mum to relax.
These candles are a bit more on the pricey side, but I can ensure you it will be loved and cherished for as long as it lasts.
Box Of Treats
Make up a little hamper with a range of different products in. Again, think of things that will help mum relax and take some time for herself. Small candles, books, chocolate, face masks, bubble bath, anything that will pamper the new mum!
If you’re looking at something a bit more on the luxury side a voucher to a hair salon, beauty store, spa day or a massage would be loved by a new mum. After 9 months of pregnancy, recovering from childbirth these luxury gifts will be absolutely adored.
There are so many cute pieces of jewelry out there for mums. Personalized necklaces, or even earrings and rings with the matching birthstone of their baby. One of my favorite shops is called Hand On Heart Jewelry and they do the sweetest pieces of sentimental jewelry. They can be found on Instagram under that name. They miniaturize your little one’s hands or footprints onto silver jewelry and would honestly make the perfect gift.
I hope this mini gift guide helps you if you are stuck with what to get a new mum!
